This week is where the rubber met the road. All the ideation, from the mind map, to the themes and inspiration lists, to last week's card sort, have all come down to this, the selection of the project I will work on as my major portfolio piece for the Web Design/New Media program. So, which one did I choose?
Drum roll please...
The interactive children's story, The Adventures of Beeda Bear.

I'd like to thank the Academy...oh wait. Sorry. I'm getting ahead of myself.
I chose this project because I can put all the skills I've learned from multiple departments at AAU to good use, putting together an amazing and adorable narrative experience for young readers and their parents, teachers and librarians. And, it'll be a pretty impressive portfolio piece to boot.
I've begun putting together my presentation slideshow, where I briefly describe the project and why it's unique. Next week, I'll start digging into researching my target audience and the types of experts I'll approach to consult and help me keep my project on the right track.
